Getting a Job

Naturally, when employees look for employment opportunities they consider factors such as potential for career advancement in future, the location of the job, salary, benefits, as well as prospect of the company surviving in the market for many years to come. Companies that are good at retrenching employees when the economic conditions are bad are not very popular to be considered as best employers by the employees. Unfortunately, getting a job is very difficult these days and employees should be prepared to take what they are offered by the employer.

Wives and Husbands

You can seek employment in any of these world’s biggest companies. It is very safe to be employed by such companies. Wives and husbands have reported they find it very comfortable when both wife and husband are working together in the same company.

Blue Chip Stocks

If you can not get employment in one of these companies, you can as well buy the company. You buy the company by buying its stocks. Most of these companies are blue chip stocks.

Where Did The Name “Blue Chip" Originate From? What Are The Characteristics Of Blue Chip Stocks?

A blue chip is a common stock of a large, prestigious, prosperous, stable corporation and known company whose stock value and dividends are reliable. The blue chip stocks typically have high price and low yield but are usually safe investments. And one may wonder why these companies are called blue chips and not green chips or red chips. The name “blue chip” originated from the game of poker where the blue chips have the highest value and as such since these companies have higher value, the name blue chip was coined for these world’s largest companies.
